E - Safety

At Andalusia Academy Bristol, we take the well-being and safety of our students extremely seriously. We aim to equip our students with the knowledge and skills to use information in the online world safely and responsibly.

E-Safety refers to the way in which children, young people and adults communicate using the internet. With online technologies playing an increasingly huge role in our lives in terms of the way we communicate, we aim to educate our students about online safety not only in Computing lessons but also PSHE subjects by:

  • keeping personal information safe
  • being respectful when we communicate online
  • recognising acceptable and unacceptable behaviours
  • knowing how and when to report any concerns

With children spending a lot of time at home online, we recommend more than ever that you talk to your children about what Apps they are using.  There are some excellent resources online that can help guide you through popular Apps and privacy settings and parental controls on a range of devices.
